Skis
Wondering if the bite on Madison is worth the drive up for the day on Saturday. If the weather cooperates, I need to go fishing. It's been 6 weeks Thanks bud.
Rost
Hey Skis,I honestly don't know! I have been wrapped up in the hunting so much lately that I haven't even been paying attention. I did hear the perch are biting up on Thompson at the barber shop today. He really didn't have any details though. Good luck wherever you go! I will be in Akeny IA this weekend! reddog
Rost, What are you doing in Ankeny this weekend. Are you affiliated with the band? If so, good luck. I also have a question. I hunt pheasants in SD several times a year. I usually buy two licences, which are good for 4 different 5 day hunts. This I understand. I recently purchased 3 - 1 day hunts at a pay to play ranch at a cancer benefit last week. It is my understanding that I can either buy the game farm license, which is good for the whole year, or I can use my state issued license to hunt at the pay to play. My question is..... if I have a state issued pheasant license, can I use it at the game farm on a day other than when my 5 day pheasant license is activated, or do I have to hunt at the pay to hunt place while my state license is active? reddog
OK, I'll ask about it.SKIS. Where did you end up going fishin at?
Skis
I didn't. Glad I didn't either since the rain started sooner than the weather forecasters were predicting. Group of us from Rock Valley are hoping to make a trip to Pierre (possibly) either next weekend or the first weekend in November. If the weather breaks before that, I may go before that as well. I've got vacation days to use or I lose them Been out at all, Red?
reddog
Took my boat to the cabin on the 29th of Sept and fished Sharpe smallies for 3 days. Wind was atrocious. Typically, I dont wear a pfd, but I fished two days with it strapped on tight. Broke the windshield off the dash, for crying out loud Went to Case on Saturday evening when I was there and they have it drawn way, way down. About as bad as I have ever seen it. They smashed the eyes in a tournament here over the weekend. 35 limits, with several big fish. Check the report in Fishing the midwest (wc) if you get a chance. Gearing up for birds, then deer, then back at the eyes. Good luck if you go.
