I gotta try it... I have never purposely tried to catch a sturgeon before... I always catch em when im fishing for catfish with worms... However, none would have been legal size limit anyways.

Do sturgeons on the St Croix even grow over the legal size? I mean, are legal sizes even abundant on the Croix?

Yepper Tyler it was a gas introducing you to them Rainy River Sturgeonfishes no doubt.....Nice when a plan comes together and we don't have to scratch our melons eh!

Ya betcha next year if you come up early before your crew arrives again we'll have to do some fishin. Maybe do some exploring between the pond and where we fished last year. Probably 7 or 8 spots between those 2 areas that are darn good Sturgeon spots to throw the hook and drown some bait. Maybe tangle with the elusive 70+ incher eh!!!

You wanna come up early ice and try and drag one up a 10 inch ice hole? Fun fun fun!!!

Hopefully this next April I'll be able to hang around a bit more for some more socialating also.

Anytime Daniel-sawn. Oh ya you've already been here and done that. Yours was a cute little bugger too! That first year when you came up with Hanson he got a nice midsizer too, 48-50 inches or so can't remember???

Hmmmmm, just think if a guy actually went out and onto spots specically targeting them Sturgeonfishes thru the ice!!!

You thinking you may make it up again this winter Dan?

Iffin you have time and want to do some fall jiggin the Rainy river and the pond are as good as it gets. Water temps fell to 50 degrees and it's even better when we're in the forties.

I'll get the wife to help me figure out this new camera upload download mumbo jumbo and I will E you a pick of yesterday evenings Walrus.....You have'nt gone completly Catfish crazy too have you???

Hey Norm-

I'll be looking you up that first weekend in November. The plan is to deer hunt Sat & Sun and hopefully swing up LOW Mon, Tues, or both. Alot depends on how deer hunting goes.

I've got the walleye bug lately. grin.gif
