tmvikings
I don't like to shot Steele and never have yet, through my over/under. I shoot a lot better with my over/under and would like to use it for ducks--- any one see any real problems shooting steel through it. What are some Negatives of steel as far as wear and tear of the barrel? What would be the max size shot of steel you would use?
LABS4ME
If it is a 'modern' firearm, there should be no problems running steel through it. Almost all are all manufactured to handle steel. Some of the higher end upland guns may have issues, but many of my friends use their O/Us w/steel no problem. Manufacturers know that steel isn't only relegated to the duck blind and that in many instances is needed to hunt upland game on certain public land, they in return have made sure the guns they produce will handle steel.Good Luck!Ken
