vrodharley77
Anyone have any luck goose hunting in the rain, I know snow can work wonders but is rain even worth getting out there?
Down2Earth
I know personnally I have had some great hunting in the rain. Birds tend to fly lower and want to land.
big drift
A slight rain or mist is ok but a downpour is bad. As has been said some great days in a light rain or misting especially if you get the wind going with it. It is neat to watch the birds buck the air to keep low. Fish&Fowl
Never shot geese in a downpour, but have had some great duck hunts where we couldn't see more than 20 yards it was coming down so hard-the birds are right in your face when they come in. I personally like a little rain, sleet or snow when I'm out, or at least some low-hanging clouds. Anything but sunshine and warm.

delta hunter
I would have to say that I prefer low hanging clouds and a light mist or light rain for goose hunting, but when it comes to duck hunting I like those bright sunny cold days when birds are starting to migrate! Ducks tend to decoy better on bright days, plus most hunters give up around 9:30 or so and I just sit there and grin, because I usually get my best shooting in around the 10:30 to noon time. Don't get me wrong I love those crappy weather days too!!
