DeBo101
I would suggest paradise cove/park on the winnipeg river at minaki. Its about an hour north of kenora. I think I can make it there in 8-9 hours from where I live an hour west of MSP.Their rates are well within what you listed and I think it would fit your fishing priorities as well. Musky fishing is fantastic and the walleye fishing seems to be on the rebound. I like the variety water variety up there everthing from heavy current to deep slackwater lake. Another bonus is the excellent pike and smallmouth action. Pretty easy navigating up there as well as the having the excellent canadian hydro maps. The NW angle on LOTW is another great place as well with plenty of affordable options. Even better musky fishing and lots of eyes as well but staying on the MN side (cheaper) leaves you with fairly long journeys to the fishing grounds. fishyguy
There is a place near Dryden that we stayed at a couple of years ago. I believe it was called Indian Point. The two of us had the week for a $400 each using their boats and gas. They are on Wabigoon. The water is very clay stained but the walleyes are fat. We don't fish for muskie but the lake has a reputation for them and there were a few muskie guys in camp that come up every year.
MuskyBrian
I will respectully tell you I disagree with staying on Wabigoon. The water quality is awful, it's right in town, and you really do not get the full Canadian experience.I loved staying in Minaki, huge muskies and good walleye fishing. I also love Eagle Lake, it really has rebounded on walleye fishing and the musky fishing is top notch as well. I would suggest staying at Andy meyers Lodge, the best resort in Canada i.m.o. TMT
I have had good luck at Tru-tail Lodge in Nestor Falls. They have a nice campground that isn't very busy and have nice cabins. They also have a few different packages to choose from.
Tman2
I know of a lodge (7 1/2 hrs from TC) that has good crappie, walleye, smallmouth, and muskie with in 10 minutes of the lodge island. We head over to the area from my buddies cabin and it takes us 30-40 minutes to get there. They aren't a sponsor, so I don't know if I can name them specifically, bu tif you look at a map of LOTW, find Miles Bay and then look east. Search the name of that bay and you'll come up with a possibility for your new lodge.Good luck,Tman
50 incher
ASH RAPIDS out of Clearwater Bay is the best place on LOTW.Little pressure and in your price range, Andrew and Tannis are great hosts.Giant Wallys and Skies abound!
