Rebel9921
Yepper... (MY OWN OPINION) All I can say is thats why I rather to be safe than sorry by not fishing when the water temp is over 79 degrees... Never know how much flutucation there is in the lake... Pretty much if the water is about 76-79 degrees, I would feel very safe doing full-water release... But we can also pray that others do a full-water release if they HAVE to go muskie fishing or accidently catch a muskie...
Paul
I remember about 20 years ago on Lac Qui Parle Lake during the big drought of the 80's, the same thing was happning. YOu could walk up an down the shores and see hundreds if not thousands of dead fish. MOnster Pike, Walleye and slabs. lots of white bass and catfish also. It was horrible and I hope I never see anything like that again. I rember being able to walk across the MN river below the (Contact Us Please) and fishing out in the middle of the river on the sandbar. Sometimes weather can be horrible to the fish poulation. Luckily LQP has bounce back as one of the premier walleye lakes in SW MN.
