Ripley Q and (Contact Us Please)

For those of us Rookies to CRipley that have questions can some of you shine some light on us? I will start;

If I shoot a buck at Ripley, can I still shoot a buck outside of Ripley? Is it a seperate tag? thanks!

I know you have to take out your stand every night but how about a trail cam?

How is cell phone service up there?

Cell service is good.

As for the tag, I called a few years ago and you use your regular tag. So you can shoot only 1 buck either there or elsewhere.

That is correct. You use your regular archery license in there. Cell phone service is OK in camp, but with AT&T it's a little spotty on the north end. Trail cameras might not be allowed since you cannot leave things inside the installation.

Use your regular buck tag. However you can use bonus permits and take a doe if you want. I believe they open this up a couple years ago. The fields on the south side are great for does. Every year driving in to be close to the front of the line for the 2nd day there were many does in the fields. I did see a drop tine buck run across Normandy Rd into the no hunting area. Went about 30yds in and just started browsing like he knew he couldn't be touched. Start dreamin' boys!!!
