Binocular recomendations....Nikon? Burris?

I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on a pair of Nikon Monarch 10X42 binoculars. If you own a pair of these or similar, I would like your thoughts. I am also thinking about Burris Signature's as well, but the price difference makes me swing to the Nikons. I hear that the birders are the go to people for optics questions, can you folks help me out with a little feedback?

Cody, I've been using a pair of Bausch and Lomb optics for birding for the last 10 years. I've heard good things about the Nikons but have not used them.

Last year I purchased a pair of Zhumell 10X42 waterproof/nitrogen filled glasses. I have been very happy with these glasses for their clarity.

I have also used Nikon's and they seem to be just as good for the money. They also have a lifetime warranty.

I've had a pair of Eagle Optics Platinum Rangers for the last couple of years and absolutely love them. They're about the same price as the Nikon's you're looking at. I bought mine from the Eagle Optics store in Madison, WI and can't say enough positive things about them but without being able to look through them first it would be a leap of faith for you.
