Slade247
I had a question about bringing a dog to a state park. Has anyone had any problems when they brought the dog camping, our dog doesn't bark so we aren't worried about that we just don't know if it is going to be a huge hassle having the dog along camping. Let me know, thanks
StrangeBrew
I have had a dog at both Wild River and St Croix parks without a hassel. The rangers will stop just make sure you have them on a six foot lead at all time.
IFallsRon
General rule is that your dog needs to be roped and attended all the time. Most people are very good about their dogs. The hosts at Itasca's Pine Ridge had a dog this summer and they brought it along on their cleanup rounds. One time someone was gone from their site all day and left the dog behind. It barked constantly until they got back.
cold one sd
I was in a state campground in June and a guy left his dog tied out in the sun all day and it couldn't get to it's water dish. It also wouldn't let anyone get near to give it some water. It barked and howled all day and when he came in off of the water the park people told him to get out and never try to come back. It wasn't the first time he had done this in that campground.
bwtrout
I believe the tie out can't be any longer than 10'.
