Don't fall for the box spring scam. Nix it and but a slatted platform or build your own. Do buy a 10 inch thick foam mattress from the Original Mattress Factory. This is standard urethane foam, not the "memory foam". If you look at the more expensive mattresses, the higher the price, the more they hide the inner springs. A solid foam mattress combined with a solid platform produces almost the same amount of vibration absorption as the memory foam mattress does. This is a huge plus if you are a mobile sleeper and your partner isn't.
