Little Story...

We passed a guy on the river last night that seamed pretty excited. We stopped to chat and he asked what kind of fish are silver with purple heads. Ummm... Sheephead.

The look on his face went from really excited to totally bumbed out. "Those are sheephead?" he asked. Ummm... yep.

"Well, they are biting like crazy right over there", he pointed! And then he left.

Must have thought he was onto a goldmine of something.

I remember the first time I caught a sheephead. The fish looked like no other fish I had ever caught before, only to be told to cut up for bait.

When we launched there were a couple of guys fishing directly on the launch. They reeled up and moved as we backed down....no bigee. Then on the way home I blew a fuse on the spotlight and instead of taking the time to fix it, I just kept going, as I could see the bridge up ahead. There was a light on shore by the landing, and I assumed it was the same guys as when we launched. So I just aimed for them. Got closer and they reeled up.........just about on shore and I hear "hey buddy, we got lines out here....the ramp is about 50yds upstream "

That is a hilarious story, Darren! Holy cow, I was literally LOL over here.
