SnoBear--What do you think??

I am thinking of purchasing one of these units and starting a personalized guide service on Lake of the Woods. I would also pull a portable with so I would be able to fish appr.4-6 people. I am guessing the price would be appr. $90 per person per day. What do you people think, do you think there would be enough interest in it to make it worthwhile? Lets hear your thoughts. Thanks

Compare that cost with the cost of staying at a resort and brought out to a heated fish house. People need a place to stay overnight. I'm not sure if they would want to stay in that overnight. You are definetly more mobile to move around versus sitting in a perm.

What do those things cost?

They cost around $35,000. I have been working with getting a cabin/fishing package deal worked out. I also have a 10x16 day house for the people who don't want to adventure too far out. This would definately not be for everyone but it would be a great change for some to offer mobility and comfort without ever leaving your house. There is definately alot of water on the woods that doesn't get fished very hard in the winter. Thanks for the feedback!!

I agree with what one of the previous posters mentioned.

I would compare what you could offer with what some of the resorts can offer. I know some of them run long bomber runs out to houses on Knights, Bridges, and further out.

Another option would be to team with a resort to offer your services. That way clients would have lodging/cabins on shore with a place to eat, and you could provide custom guiding (via SnoBear) to far out places on the lake.
