Hastings area

Does anyone have information on duck hunting around the Hastings area. I am new to the area and would like to get out on the Mississippi River. I don't know anything about this area. (accesses, restrictions, etc). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Are there lakes around that area to hunt?

I have only hunted there a handful of times. Here is the best advice you can get - GET UP EARLY!!! Seriously, lots of competition for spots.

Have fun though, as it can be great hunting.

I have hunted down that way a lot. I have never been out on a weekend but I have heard it is crazy. During the week it is not so bad. 10 boats or so and after a good front maybe 20. A lot of spots to hunt. If you can hunt during the week and would like to join me let me know. I hunt alone most of the time and now have dog that will be joining me. Let me know.
