I noticed lastnight that my seat cover was loose. I took the seat off and almost ALL of the staples holding the cover to the seat were rusted and gone.

Can I just re-staple it?

In a word yes. If the skin is beat up where the staples go you can overlay a small strip of naugahide sp? before staplig it. Also make sure you use the shortest staple that will hold because man they go in hard. The first one I did I bent more staples than I got in straight. Holding it tight to the surface helps a lot.

The seat it self is in new condition, just the staples are rusted. It has less than 1000 miles on it.
