Consistent Accuracy?

Recommended Posts

This summer I have been shooting my bow every day in order to prepare for this bear and deer season. On account of the hot weather (90+ degrees) I haven't been shooting my bow as often as I was weeks before. So after about a week of non-shooting, I went into the backyard today to get back to shooting my bow. Well, my groups were consistently hittng 3" high and 1" to the left of the X. confused.gif So after making sure it wasn't something wrong on my part, I reluctantly cranked my sights back to where i could get a consistent grouping where I was aiming. So my question is, was it a mistake to move my sights? was I doing something different than the weeks before? Or maybe the sights had indeed moved themselves somehow? Anyways, as of last week I was pretty confident at grouping my arrows at 40 yds but now even at 30yds. my groups are a bit sketchy confused.gif

I fI had to guess, and it would be just that... you are doing something different... the key will be to continue to do that "something different".. its often just something like how you are holding the bow, where you put the pressure on your palm.

I'd guess that you are anchoring in a slightly different position or have motion as you release. Have you tried adding a kisser button along with your peep? Have you looked at your hand/arm position after the shot?
