Princeton Tec Aurora Headlamps

Had to tell you. I bought one of these headlamps from the guys here. Delivery was ultra fast. They are great. Have used it every day since deer season started. It really makes it easy to see what you are doing when field dressing and pulling the hide later. Haven't changed any batteries yet. I sure do recommend them. smile.gif

Can hardly wait to use it on the ice!

These things are awesome. Not only will that soft ligt help in the fishhouse but they work excellent for trailing deer. That soft blue light really illuminates the trail. Unbelievable!! Scott Steil

I must agree. They are awesome. The only problem was I had to purchase mine from Gandermountain. Would have like to purchase from this site but when I found out about it from you guys here I was out of time and needed one the next morning.

Thank you all for posting about such great products.

Well, you all convinced me that my propane lantern was too clumsy, too fragile and too much hassle ice fishing. So I plopped down the $25 or so for the Aurora.

Think I'm going to be happy. Also, when my little blue squeeze light wears out from zapping glow jigs, I'll have the Aurora to fall back on. grin.gif

Now, if I could just stick a deer, I'd be able to give a first-hand report on how well it works tracking. frown.gif

Hawgtime brought over my second one today before we went fishing.I can't wait to charge the glow on my jigs with it.That bright white light is going to make those jigs glow like a 747 on landing approach!

OK,
my little one found mine and has hidden it.

I've looked everywhere and cannot find it. If I don't find it soon I'm going to have to buy another.

I just ordered mine a few minutes ago-can't wait to get it!! From what I've read here they seem to be great. I've been looking at this type of thing for a while and am glad I can support this site because I love it! I have to check in a few times a day to see what's new-the only bad thing is that, living in the Metro area, I have to read about guys getting some ice time weeks before I get the chance! frown.gif OH, well ice will be here soon too. Keep the good product info coming guys and I can't wait to meet some of you out on the ice!

Amazing as it may seem, my Princeton tec Aurora headlamp showed up at the end of my bed (which I can see clearly everyday).

I asked the kids who put it there.

You know what, I've always wondered where the little goblin called "I Don't Know" comes from.

At least I have it back. I'm seriously considering getting a second one to give the person next to me to use. I don't intend to use a lantern this year unless needed for just the right amount of heat.

It lights up my Otter Lodge great. It's especially nice when you want to tie on those little ice jigs.

I got mine in the mail today-it only took one business day to get here and that was over Thanksgiving too! Great service. Didn't know it came with batteries already this is a great deal. My wife caught me sitting in the dark reading a Cabelas winter sports catalog-I think she's hoping for ice as much as I am so I'll shut up and leave her in peace!

Rick,
I bought two,and I've been glad I did several times. First of all they(head lamps)are so small, they could be easy to misplace(untill they become part of the routine), it's good to have a back up, because once you get used to having one, you wont want to go with out. Seriously like having a spare set of keys. These head lamps are so cool, even kids can't keep their hands off of them. I can't say enough about them. People that don't have them now will eventually wonder how they ever got along with out them.

A few nights ago I used mine for a little shore fishing on the river. We were using glowpainted jigs. With that bright blue light it only took a few seconds to charge the glow up.Getting back up the bank was easy too.Plenty of light to guide the way.I am liking this little light more every day.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
