hello this is my first post so i hope i make it good. My son who is 16 wants to go camping there with 3 other friends, i wanted to know if they can spend the night there with out me or do i have to tag along with them. also what kind of permits would they need, its been many years since ive been up there and thing always change. i think the place where they wanted to make camp was before the trail by devils lake if that helps.

Do you mean Eagle Mtn. and Deviltrack lake? I'd try calling the Forest Service in Grand Marais. I think they'd be able to answer your questions. Good luck.
