Need help on where to buy pigeons for dog training??

Hi I am begging training with my Yellow Lab and I need to find some pigeons or something similar to train him with but I cannot find anything anywhere, any suggestions?????

Well....depending on where you are located there may be a few options. You can also do a search for past posts to see what suggestions there are.

You can try to located some at game farms around the area. Sometime you have to drive to get birds. Quail or chukar would work also.

I had a contact in Roseville bu he recently pasted away.

I don't know where you live but I believe the Horse & Hunt club in Prior Lake sells pigeons for $5/bird. They also have pheasants and chukkars but I'm not sure on the pricing. There also is Oakwood Game Farm in Princeton, they only have pheasants now. I also bought some chukars out in Wadena. I believe they also sold pheasants and quail. I have their contact info if you need it.

I dont know where you are located but I have friends that will go and get permission to trap them out of farmers barns.
