Zaraspooks
Probably the finest Canadian resort I have ever stayed. Great accomodations, unbelievable food, super staff, and the fishing ain't bad either. You will be happy with your choice.
CodyDawg
I know one of the guys up there fairly well and he wouldnt be involved in a place that didnt have great fishing.I would recommend you ask for Matt and tell him right off that you heard he couldn't catch a muskie if his life depended on it. That should get you off to a good start with him as he has a great sense of humor.

nitroant
I was at Tetu last year and it was a great time. The staff, the cabins and the food are all great. Matt, Katie and Ed, as well as his wife are super guests. You don't get to carry a thing, they won't let you. You will spend about 75% of your time throwing for big northerns. I am sure if you want to spend more time for walleye and bass they will accomodate you. Go to Thorne Brothers and they will get you set up.Tell them you are going to Tetu and you get a discount. We threw 9" phantoms with the prism on the sides. I have only found them at Thorne. We also threw walk the dog type top water stuff like jackpots. The guides have plenty of stuff for you to throw as well, but if you come armed with some phantoms and offer them up as tips their eyes get really big. Shore lunch is great too. The do a great job of taking photos that they will put on a CD for you before you leave and they will also send a few to you for a few months after as marketing. Its a top shelf operation. The only down fall is the drive up there takes forever, but its all worth it. Enjoy the trip.
jegerjack
I have been heading up to that part of the English for 20+ years... I stay at another resort just up river from Tetu... The quality fishing over the past 5 to 7 years has gone up considerably, both resorts are in to c&r and that has worked wonders on the size of the eyes... We target mostly walleye and go through about 100 jigs so make sure you have enough(if that’s your poison)... Once you fishing on a system like the English, it makes it hard to go back to a lake... There are so many different scenarios you can choose to fish... Every year we find a new nook that we have not tried, it never gets old...
bassNspear
what about pike.
jegerjack
I don't fish pike a whole lot but there are plenty up there... The largest I have caught was a 42 incher on a jig on 6lb test without a leader... The guides love to use Bull Dawg lure's... The numbers of boats at both Tetu and Caribou, which appear to be casting for pike and musky, have increase the past few years…
