Not sure I would have let him get away with that. A full days pay for a full days work. If it wasn't written that your day ends when you hit your limit then he should have kept you out there all day like you paid for.

You didn't get what you paid for. I would have divided the payment by four and either only given him $42.50 or asked for a refund for the difference since he didn't give you what was agreed upon.
