Gitchi Gami Bike Trail

Hey all... The last few days the wife and I had an awesome trip. One of the interests we share is bike riding. We spent a couple of days on the north shore. Riding the Gitchi Gami Bike Trial. There is a section done from the falls at Gooseberry Falls, all the way to Beaver Bay, which is a tad over 13 miles, making a very nice 26 mile loop. Some nice hills to get the heart rate up and beautifull views make this a must ride for those who enjoy that kind of thing. We also rode a secion of the scenic highway that was not a part of the trail. The side of the road was wide enough in most places and traffic was not to bad. All in all we put in 50 miles in the 2 days and enjoyed every one of them.

My wife and I ride quite a bit too...it is nice! We rode the section near Split Rock lighthouse last summer. With all the hot weather this summer though our longest one day ride was 44 miles on the Sakatah trail near Mankato.
