Can XH rods work for cattin' in our neck of the woods?.....

Hello, all. I am not new to FM, but have a new username. I have been pouring over old archived threads about rods for cats, but I still have a question- let me explain. Many years back I bought three Falcon Silver Series musky rods in XH actions. I fished musky for a couple of years , but haven't done so for quite awhile. Before I go and sell these rods, are the rods applicable for fishing the heavier bruisers such as flatheads? I am a rookie at fishing for flats, but have fished for channels in the past. These Falcon rods are 1- 6'3' XH,(jerk bait rod), and 2-6'9" XH( crankbait, or multipurpose) rods.We are talking about almost pool cue action here. From the threads I have read here, most of you lean towards rods with a bit of give in the tip but a strong backbone for flatheads, so I may already know the answer to my own question, but throw some opinions out there for me,please.New tackle options are are always good to go for me,so selling these rods wouldn't be such a big deal. Thanks to all here for the great info. on this forum. I know I have alot to learn about cat fishing.

I figured that would be the case. I pulled the rods out of storage after I put up the original post, and Falcon classifies them as 'XXH' action.Holy Smokes! I really had forgotten how stiff those rods are.Oh, well. Time to go shopping for a flathead specific rod, with a bit more give in the tip.
