JohnMickish
Does anybody have one of these? What do you like/dislike? They seem like a pretty decent boat for the price. Wondering if I should put these on the "maybe" list for when I get a new boat.
bassNspear
They are a good boat for the money, but on the back side of it, they run into alot of problems. I have seen that the bow eyes come out alot in the boats. They are a very dry and smooth rid. I sold these boats for a long time, and i always liked them becuase you can get into these boats for alot less moeny then some other ones, just the fit and finsh is not the top of the line. JohnMickish
I just ask because when I was out at Cabelas yesterday I saw they carry them now, and crawled around a few. They looked good enough to make me think about it.
PerchJerker
I've never been in one on the water but have heard that they are decent boats for the price. Biggest negatives have been fit and finish, and that the storage compartments get wet. I think if you try adding a lot of options to get set up more like the Ranger 1850s and 1860s or the Skeeter 1880s you are going to end up pretty close in price. I know someone that tried to price one out at the boat show this spring and it went WAY up in price when he tried doing things like adding a spare tire, extra seat, airrides, travel cover, lowrance electronics and network, etc. In the end his best price on the Stratos was within $1-$2 grand of the comparable Rangers and Skeeters. Although if you go with more of a base package there is a bigger price difference.
