3rd annual diamond lake walleye tournament

Recommended Posts

For anyone who hasn't fished this and for all those who have, we will once again have the annual tournament on diamond lake in August. Scheduled date is August 25th with a start time of 7:00a.m. For anyone who is interested, this is a two person team tournament with a $25 per team entry fee. 100% payout. Fishing times are 7:00a.m-2:00p.m. A maximum of 15 teams will be allowed to fish in this tournament. First 15 teams to sign up will be entered. Last year we had a great turnout and I am hoping for a repeat this year. For more info or questions about this tournament, send me an email at [email protected] or [email protected]. Entry forms can be mailed to you or sent by email. Deadline for signing up is August 19th. Hope to see some new faces and the regular ones out there again this year.

sparce, not sure what your asking. The tournament is based on a point system just as our walleye league has been for years now. Each team is allowed 6 fish to measure with a minimum of 14" required to measure. Each fish is measured at the end of the tournament and points are tallied, the team with the most points is the winner and so on.

If you are asking how many fish are brought in at the end of the tournament, last year the top team brought in 5 fish to be measured and the second place team had 6 and there were two other teams with just one fish.

If that hasn't answered your question, let me know in more detail what you are asking.

If you are asking about weights for weigh in the first year was four fish for ~18lbs, and Chad I do believe that we brought in 6 last year as well for ~16lbs, correct me if I am wrong. As he said we do his point system to determine the winner but these were agreed upon weights. We have only been allowing people to sign up a week prior, unless Chad says otherwise this year. We decided this to prevent people from jumping in if they are on fish or backing out if they are not. It creates a more level playing field, especially for those who do not have a chance to prefish readliy prior to. This is something that has bugged me with other tournaments I have done I guess. If you are confident enough then give it a shot, it will be fun nontheless. For me, it will be the first time even seeing the lake this year because I have lived in NE for the summer, similar to last year. I hope to see you there. Hopefully the bite keeps all the boats busy. End time has been 2pm

Is anyone else that has participated the last couple years on the forum here?
