I have a 87 tracker pro with a 40hp Mariner on it and the best I have done with a full live well ( water) trimmed out on a glassie lake is 42 on my GPS 30 sounds really slow for that boat. I think a 60hp is the max for hanging on the transom. You can check on the plate next to the drivers seat. Found out that it runs better with the full live well and I am a big guy also. Only thing I ever added was a doel fin. On plane there is not a whole of of my boat touching water. I bought the pro 17 and just added the extra length to the front casting deck, made it removable so I could bring kids with and then put it back when I fished alone.

Vee here also. Only difference that I know of is the front casting platform and you may also have a thicker hull then I do. Did you buy it new? Had mine ordered through St. Cloud have only seen one other up here in 18 years. Put a 75 on there and you should see a difference. They ride really well at over 40mph...
