fellowx
I've fished there before too and had the same experience that you had. Didn't do too well.
Deitz Dittrich
Was out there this morning and caught 2 fish over 4 lbs.. Green lake is a great bass fishery. Its a little tough right now as the curly leaf pond weed has died and made the water quite green. The fish are adjusting to feeding more on vibration now than by site like they had earlier in the year.
polarsusd81
I too have had some pretty good catches on Green. I got one a few weeks ago in some deep water fishing eyes that went over 4. Then I plucked a 8 lb northern out of the same spot casting a senko up into the weeds. We were anchored on the outside weed edge. There are a lot of good places to fish on that lake and I can't wait to get back up there. There have been times on the lake were I could only get them to bite one thing. They can be picky. fishrman
Did you get them on the deeper weedlines? I know this lake doesn't have much for structure.
Deitz Dittrich
There isn't much for deeper weedlines right now... Caught a few in the slop.. and a few on the deeper structure that doesnt exist.
fishrman
I guess I will have to go out there and spend some time going back and forth over the lake looking for some unknown structure. I heard there were some rocks and an old road bed in little green, but never been able to find them.
Bullwinkle
Oh no, Deitz has found that one spot with structure . Crud . Well you're bound to beat my boat sooner or later. Aren't you? Well? LOL How about a guess at what the winning weight will be next week? I'll guess 19 lbs but then again I guessed 18 lbs last tourney which turned out to be slightly off. Deitz Dittrich
LOL @ winkle! It will all depend on the weather... The lake has been pounded.. If I had to guess. .15 lbs will take it.
Dan Brelje
Been out a couple times lately and have stuggled a bit in the deeper water. I know of one pretty good weedline but the fish are scattered on it. The deeper structure seems to have too little of weeds right now to hold fish. I know the fish are in the slop on this lake..But slop is my weakest tactic so i shy away from it. If you can slop fish, this is a great place to find the green lake 4lb's
littlebear
Have always done well on this lake.....fishing the docks around the lake, the deeper they are, the better fish caught. The channel between lakes produces. If you like to fish the slop, the south end will provide good action. Like to use weedless/snagless presentations in the above locations. Biggest bass 5.7 lbs and have been in the boat with a 6.2 LB by buddy.
