Jonny, nice ones, there. The butterfly is a northern crescent. I don't think the purple flower is a harebell, however. Harebell are more delicate and grow on stalks as thin as grass, with very fine small leaves. Whatever it is, it's darn pretty.

thanks all!...Steve,I'm not sure at all what that blue flower is but thougt it might be a harebell...."googled" blue flowers and maybe it's in the ballon /bellflower family...similar in appearance ...not sure what it is...grows in the wild but could be a tame ,european thing from years ago thas gone wild... grin.gif

The nearest thing I can find to the blue flower in my Wildflowers of Minnesota field guide is the Creeping Bellflower. It says that they almost always point downward so I am not sure, but that would be my guess.
