Minn-Kota trolling motor question

I have a 65lb Minn-Kota that's a 2003 model that is having some issues. It runs on a 24v,(2 new batteries this year), and was running fine early in the year, but now it is not. At first I thought it was a connection problem, I have to plug in my motor at the front of the boat and the female end was loose, causing a bad connection. I fixed that, and it worked fine. Now when I plug it in it chirps, but it won't spin the prop or the unit at all. I checked the female plug and it's getting 12.6 on the meter. Could the male end be bad? There is not much too them, could it be the power head? I have a co-pilot, and the battery is new in the remote and that was working fine, and the foot control was working fine before I lost all usage of the motor. Any help advise would be helpful. Time to call Minnkota for the nearest repair guy. They are very helpful on the telephone. Only other thing I can think of is check to see if some line has gotten wrapped around the hub, near the prop. If so, it will cut right through the seal there, allowing water inside, and Poof....thats it! another reason to ask all your boating pals to NOT THROWW monofilament line over the side!

If it's a 12/24 volt system, measuring at the female side of the plug may show only 12 volts. This is because in many 12/24 volt systems the voltage supplied to the motor is determined by the connections in the male plug.

I would disassemble the male plug and make sure it's connected properly for 24V and that something has not come loose or gotten corroded in there.
