just trying to get back into a little catfishing from about a 10 yr break. I've never really fished around the cities here used to fish down in mankato while in college so dont really know anywhere to go around here but am free just about any night of the week if anyone is willing to go.

TrimmedWhiskers, if you could provide some details about what stretch of the river you would fish, others could chime in as well. In our large circle of fisherman here, people tend to have their "home stretches" and can help out a lot.

sorry forgot to mention where i was at. well i am in brooklyn center, right off of the 694/94 split. so idealy i guess i would like to find some spots right outside my door here, i noticed there is a landing on the miss on east river road, but i would be willing to travel probably up to an hr during the week if anyone has any spots they would like to go.

btw i think i saw a bunch of u guys down at the mankato gathering u just had, i was down there with a buddy of mine and my wife on sat night. we managed to show up just before the rain, waited the 45 min for it to die down and headed to one of my old spots, we didnt have to bad of a night. my wife kinda schooled us she caught prolly about a 8 and 5 pound flatty and maybe 12 or so pound channel, i just caught around a 5 or so pound flat and my buddie got skunked(it was his first time) but we all had many runs and numerous grab and drops. one thing i noticed not sure if u all did was the gars seemed to be really active that night, we had i think about 3 or 5 different gars swimming around our spot
