Any ideas on where to shore fishing for Bass in Minneapolis

Howdy, My brother is coming to town this weekend. We want to go bass fishing but we're boatless. Any ideas on spots to fish ( using frogs, buzzers and soft plastics ) for bass in the Minneapolis Area. Much thanks..........

Actually my cousin caught a 5 pounder last weekend at Cedar Lake in Mpls. Cedar, Calhoun and lake of the isles will offer good shore fishing for LMB. Never really had much luck at Nokomis and Hiawatha lake, mostly just caught northerns.

All the MPLS city lakes are great fisheries. And all areas near shore should be good. I grew up fishing calhoun and harriet. If you can get your hands on a belly boat(tube) and get out to the weedlines it can be gangbusters!

Man there are so many miles of shoreline in Mpls you should be telling us where to start! But really i ran into a guy who caught a 7 pounder off of shore last year. They are there. i don't have any hot places but there are plenty of miles there. Good luck. ike
