courthouse lake questions?

i liv eclose the the lake and am wondering if there is a good place to shore fish or a peir? i have to boat! i looked on the dnr site, and am wondering what the circle with an X through the middle? is it a peir? if so what kind of set up should i use the get the trout to my pan! i have a nice pan fish combo with 4 lb test but dont know what to use for a lure. any info will help.

I'm not sure what the conditions of the lake are now, but you should have success with a bottom type rig, like a lindy rig. Use, either worms, waxies, powerbait putty, or marshmallows (lol). You can not have a boat on the lake, so pick a spot and be patient. My $.02

Keep in mind live minnows are not allowed either.

small hook and small splitshot about 18 inches apart with some powerbait will get you some fish for the pan
