Jorgie
I'm looking for suggestions on books for understanding the "science" of fishing. By that I mean a book explaining how things like temperature, pressure, change of seasons, etc, play in to how to fish. I have heard and been told a lot of these things throughout the years, but I would like a book that puts it all together for me.Thanks for your suggestions. rushing
Most books like that are centered on one species of fish like trout, walleye, catfish, ect. Your best bet would be to pick your fave species and start from there.

Scott M
Gotta recommend Dick Sternberg's line of Hunting and Fishing Library Books. He is pretty good with tips and techniques, and the individual species books break down seasonal patterns, dealing with changes in temperature and pressure, etc. These books are great for any skill level. I found them particularly helpful as a novice my teenage years. I pretty much bought up the whole set. Now I like to pick through them from time to time and I'll still find a tidbit or two I'd overlooked.
