I was curious about the smallmouth fishing on Lac Seul. We will be staying at Lac Seul Adventures, which is right next to Mahkwa resort. Is there good smallie fishing close by? We will be there June 22-26. Any ideas or tips are appreciated.

We are going to Mahkwa 6/27 til the 3rd. This will be my 4th trip in this time period. We have caught a few smallies but there size was nize 17inch plus.We got them mostly in Vaughn lake when we strayed into shallower rocks jigging or were casting spiner baits for Northerns and walleyes. YOur cabin should be at the motuh of vaughn lake. They have been incedental catches as we do not target them. I would think you would get some nice ones if you targeted them. Post your results and conditions at Lac Suel adventures as I am curious about them. I will post about my trip as well
