slick2526
Hello all, Someone suggested to me to get led lights for my fish house. Ive seen a few fixtures under the led light .com but i was wondering what one you would suggest to buy? I have a frabill twin xlt and I would like for it to give off enough light hanging off the center pole to be able to see my bobbers and to be able to tie jigs at night. Also what kind of a power source do you use? A car or a vex battery? aprox. how many days could i go with out recharging the battery? also when i was looking at the site i seen a swith that you are able to dim and brighten the lights with. do you think its worth the money? thanks for your time. Gissert
Slick -I purchased the 3 element unit that is encased in the clear plastic. I was very happy with it. It gives a nice soft light that allows you to see your bobber (in my Otter shelter) and is just right for tying jigs. It is also very rugged. They draw tiny amounts of current, so you can run it off of your vex battery with out killing it, assuming that your battery is in good condition. I have access to discarded aircraft ELT batteries, so that is what I power mine with. I also wired in a toggle switch so I can switch it on and off easily.
