24 volt/ 65 pd Minn Kota Auto Pilot Question???

I have 2 Trojan batteries for my 65 auto pilot and was wondering how long I should be getting for use if Im running then at 1.5-2 mph.

I was out the other day and only got about 4.5 hours of run time, mind you I was pulling blades at about 1.8 mph with no wind to help, is this normal?

that doesn't sound right, I ran mine on mille lacs last summer for 4 hours each day for two days at the same speeds.......

NOT TO SOUND LIKE DUM OR ANYTHING, BUT DO YOU HAVE THE BATTERIES HOOK UP IN SERIES? THAT SHOULD DOUBLE OUR RUN TIME.

When you put two 12 volt batteries together you have to conect positive to negative correct? Maybe this is my problem Im new to this big boat stuff, Ive always had simple 14 fters

You need a positve to negative jumper in there.

It also depends on how big your boat is! I get about the same run time at those speeds with a 20ft. sport-fish. HTB
