Minnkota Copilot

tearin' lips

Question

I just bought a powerdrive from a gentleman, its only a little over a year old and it was outfitted with a copilot before I purchased it. I want to make it a copilot again. Does anyone know what I need to purchase to make it into a copilot again.

1.)Do I need to get the system, or will the copilot remote work.

2.)Also the copilot remote says its for the pd/v2 will it matter?

3.) How about the wireless pedel, will that work and has anyone had any experience with it.

Thanks gentlemen/ladies I appreciate the responses.

If the guy you bought it from left the co-pilot attachment on it you just nee the remote. One side of the motor will be a little bulkier and will say Co-Pilot in big yellow letters. If it doesn't you need to buy the whole kit. I think they run around $149 but I got mine for $100 off hsolist. Never heard of the wirless pedal so can't give any advice there. I like the little remote mounted to my rod or wrist.

1. The CoPilot consists of a transmitter and a receiver. If the receiver is on the motor, then all you need to do is purchase a transmitter (FOB or wireless pedal) and initialize the reciever to the new transmitter.

2. If the motor is over a year old then it is not a V2. The receivers are different for the V2 and older PowerDrives, but the transmitters are the same. (Same software, but the plug from the receiver to the main board is different.)

3. Wireless pedal and FOB are interchangeable. Wireless pedal is less popular.
