Twitter
If your near New Brighton, try D-Rock Center on Old H-way 8. He sells 1 year old models cheap, with a full warranty. Good place to get blades too.
Steve Foss
Are you looking for a specific store in your area or wondering if stores that usually carry them will have any in stock in August? If the former, can't help you. If the latter, I'd say just check the stores that generally carry fishing equipment. If they've got any still in stock, they may sharpen the pencil to move one before they get the new season's stock, especially if the model you want will come out with changes for the coming year. That tends to make the existing ones less desirable, and stores will cut prices. Good luck.

Raven
Hey MetroJoe - I had a Strikemaster (the best and biggest) they made. Had nothing but trouble with it. Last year I bought a Jiffy Legend 10". Haul it in the sled behind my snowmobile and it takes a lot of abuse. Never have had any kind of problem with it. A friend recommended it and man, I am glad I went with one of these. I complained to Strikemaster and they told me that maybe I should get a smaller, less hp. model, cause I told them I was getting ready to retire. I guess he thought it was too big for me to handle (I could probably lift that turkey over my head and body slam him.) At any rate, I was able to return it to the store I bought it at and picked up the Jiffy later.
