FISHINGFARMER
We are thinking about trying Clay Lake this summer for our annual re-charge of the system. Has anyone here been to this lake lately? Just curious if it's worth the drive up to in fishing(walleye's for the wife and I and smallies for the kid's). Are the accomidations fairly nice for a family? Having just one resort on the lake you would think that it would be somewhat remote in feeling for a drive-in lake. Is this true? Just needing some help on past experiences good or bad guys. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide. Forgot to mention the time we would be up there is in mid-July time. What area's would be best to try to find some eye's in. Not looking to find a certain spot just general patterns. Have no idea how deep of a lake system this is. Farmer
MuskyBrian
it's definetely remote enough, that won't be an issue...I haven't fished it but I believe it is a part of the Wabigoon river watershed...meaning the only issue out there will be that pea soup water which can really throw you if you don't expect it
