Trolling motor problems

I have a pinpoint 3700 24 volt and I hooked it up and all I get is lines on the display and nothing else works it does turn on and beeps but thats it, it has 2 wires a orange and white since I have no manual I hooked it up positve to orange and negative to white and also the plug has 4 pins but I can only see using two of them I did check voltage and I have 24 volts any suggestions? Thanks!

I had a similar problem with a different motor, it turned out to be that the two batteries that I was using, wern't putting out enough voltage. I had one new battery and one old battery. I bought two new batteries, and an onboard charger. After that the problem went away. If you test the batteries you should get a little better than 13 volts out of each battery.
