Balsam lake? (Polk)

I'm going to be out on Balsam this weekend, has anyone had any luck yet..Anything by big island yet?

I haven't been down to balsam yet this year, but i grew up on the lake. What are you looking to catch. This time of year we always do best for eyes in east balsam and bass seem to be in the shallow bays. Crappies should be going well off the weedlines as well.

Thanks for the info. I haven't gotten out this year yet, i like to fish the east balsam just outside the channel.I think i'll give that a shot,maybe get an eye ot 2 for dinner...thanks again

wish i could help out more but i live in the twin ports now and don't get down there as often as i would like. st louis, river has been producing some nice eyes though.
