Justfishing
I have a resort style aluminum boat with the bench seats. I was thinking of painting the inside of the boat with a bedliner like material hoping with will reduce noise and improve looks. Any pros or cons to this. I want a diy and not pay to have it done. Any brands better than another.
PerchJerker
Can't help you with any of the specifics, but if it's black I'd think it'd be really hot in there???? Good luck.
ib_jigged
I did this last year to my 16' Lund. I went to the local Auto parts store that carries a full line of automotive paint. I asked them some questions about tintable bedliners. They ordered some for me and I brought in one of my seats and they matched the gray on the seats to a tee. I rolled it on instead of spraying and I have to say that it worked out great. Very durable. Just follow the prep work that the paint guys suggest and you should have great results.Fish On
fishin58
I just finished mine last night, I had bought the DIY roll-on, I used the Bondo brand, It sealed it up just fine, but was difficult to work with, it was way to thick at times and very hard to roll. I also don't think I will be satisfied with how it is textured once it dries. I had used the Herculiner on my truck-bed about five years ago, and this stuff went on great and also had good texture. I would definately go for the herculiner.
