Question

I have a 05 lund explorer and I am installing a marine radio under the console. I decided to use the power from the cd player to power the marine radio. I had the cable disconnected from the back of the radio and cut the pos and neg and spliced in the pos and neg for the marine radio. I plugged the cable into the back of the cd player and now the marine radio works but the cd player does not. i tried putting it back to the way it was and still no luck on the radio any thought. I dont know how I coulde have fried the radio doing it this way?

It sounds as though the radio has an anti-theft issue and by cutting the wires the radio thinks it was stolen. There is a reset that the dealer should be able to perform. I know a friend had this happen to their 2004 Chevy and the dealer reset the radio for him.
