New forum needed "Outdoor edibles."

I'd like to see a forum dedicated to outdoor edibles. For example finding wild mushroom (morels, chicken of the forest, puffballs, etc.) wild asparagus, and other edibles that many of us search for in the woods. I would really like to see something like that on fishingminnesota. It would be a great way to share information and report findings. I hope to see a forum like that in the very near future.

Please post if you agree!

Best regards,

Nate

Oh believe me, I have been there. I think it would be nice to have one spot for these topics seperate from hunting. I think a lot of people don't equate "hunting" to morel mushroom hunting. Plus it is nice to be able to have one spot to look at previous years posts.

If you're willing to write, I'm willing to read! Sounds like you kinda know your way around a woods. There have been a few topic headings I've requested, too, but I ended up just getting to be pretty good with the search function instead. grin.gif Start a topic or 2 in one of those areas, and see if there are other like-minded posters out there. I hate to see us get upstaged by our neighbors to the south, and I'm half I-wegian!

Nate,

I agree with you. I mainly only hunt Morels, and it's a short season, although I am known to plan trips to coincide with berry seasons. I too, was surprised (though pleased) to see mushrooms in the "Hunting" forums. The mushroom websites have alot of out-state information.
