Cats from yesterday

We had the best day so far this year. I don't think we will have another day like this again this year but you just never know. We ended the day with 4-5 10 pounders, 1 20 pounder, and 3 over 30 pounds. We were happy with the first one over 30 but we had triplets. The first one stunk really bad. They were 37 inches long. We think buy looking and lifting them they were over 30 but we need help from the masters to let us know. The last pic is the only one I have with the fish on it's side but I didn't take the picture and not all the fish is in it. Sorry for the size of pics. I think I'm getting all my luck from my lucky Thorne Bros hat.LOL Had a very good day. Still have my smile going from yesterdays fishing.

Depends what they're eating. I have caught channel cats that are full of shad that stink pretty bad.

Shad is there main food. These fish were introduced in 1999. I think they are doing well.

Bob, I have to ask you, where exactly in Illinois were you at when you were fishing those kitties? Im going home to Il for the summer and was thinking that i might have to go and get at that Resevoir. Also, is there a similar sight to this one that focuses on Illinois/Wisconsin?

What were you using for them? What was your fishing set up?

We were fishing Lasalle Lake. We were useing Hot N Tot's and Spoonplugs. The area we were at is to hot now so I don't know where they are in the lake now. This is a power plant lake.
