oil to gas mixture

anyone know what i should mix gas at for a yamaha blaster? took out the oil injection, now im going to pre mix.using yamaha oil.just rebuilt,how many tanks do i mix rich?

I am a small engine instructor. I would say that the first tank maybe two would be good to mix rich. I would start with at least 40:1 thats 5 gal. gas to 16oz. oil. then move to 50:1 and you should be just fine. In 27 years of working on them I have never burnt one down with 50:1. Use a good a oil and stay with it.
