Cabin rental?

I am taking the family out to the Black Hills in August, can anybody recommend cabins for rent and or other types of lodging?

What area are you wanting to stay? We stayed in a place by Lead. I know there are many place throughout the hills.

Unless you are headed out for the sturgis rally i would try to avoid that week in august because rates will be sky high. There are many places to look for houses/cabins in the hills. Lead/Deadwood is a great place to start. For more family oriented stuff you might want to check the southern hills (custer/hillcity).

What are you planning on doing out there? This will help narrow the search

I stayed at a place called Blue Bell Lodge located in Custer State Park for a week one time ane it was very enjoyable even though I was there on company business. There is a restaurant and curio shop and other things there that I don't remember at this time. I think they would serve western meals made by a cook with a chuck wagon also. One of the best parts was that there were Buffalo that wandered around right on the grounds where the cabins are located. I can remember sitting on my porch and there was a Buffalo standing right at the bottom of the steps.
