Concrete Slab

Meaney

Recommended Posts

I need to lift a concrete slab that is right next to my front steps. It settled towards the house, I want to level it off to keep the water from draining towards the house. Any though of what to put under it to level it off...? rock/gravel/ or dirt

Thanks for the input

Meaney,

If slab is not too big, you could tapcon screw screen mesh to face of sunk’ in slab and form up sides to pour concrete to height. Or pour in vinyl patch with concrete glue. When you finish it, use a sponge trowel to blend in with other slabs (give it that been there for awhile look). If it is a large slab, you might want to think about the mud jack option. In the end, it might be a good idea to demo out and redo slap all together. I have had good luck with patching over the years. the sponge trowel really works good with vinyl supplement. If done right, you never even can tell you patched area.

Hey that's what we are here for. The down fall to mud jacking is it will cost alot. If you patch in, seal it a couple hours after doing it. It should last for years.

Good luck! cool.gif
