Started doing some drop shotting last summer and was having a difficult time trying to tie my hook on the line. I know there is a tying method but have not been able to locate one. Could anyone help me out with tying drop shot rigs?

the knot you are looking for is called the palomar knot if you go on the orvis HSOforum they have ananimated knots tutorial otherwise google search animated fishing knots.this knot will make your hook stand straight out. good luck I hope that is what you were looking for. if not I am sure there are others on here that can help.

My two cents:

Put your line in thru the TOP of the hook, (hook point is facing toward the sky) and tie a palomar knot. Then take the tag end and run it back thru the eye of the hook this will make it stand up better.

Also if you are looking for more info, I saw there is several seminars going on in different parts of MSP this spring about the drop shot. Check one out they most likely will go over more detail.
