Eagle Lake

We are headed up to Eagle Lake, Ontario from Sept. 7 to 14 of 2007. Will be fishing walleyes and Muskies but I am an avid smallie lover. That time of year can you still find any smallies in shallow rocks and weed lines or will I have to find them deep like the 'eyes?

Last year on Lac Seul, during the same week, we found the smallies with the walleyes and northerns from 7 to 15 fow. I did very little shoreline casting for them, and did not catch any that way. Jig and minnow. Don't know if Eagle will be that much different. Good luck.
