Radio, Depth Finder, ect.... on separate battery???

I just upgraded my trolling motor to a 24v system, so I bought 2 new batteries and a 2 bank onboard charger. Since I have a spare deep cycle battery along with an onboard charger, I was thinking of running my radio, depfinder, and others off of it. Stupid idea??
